Alice Mabel Christensen, daughter of Jens and Nettie (Larsen) Flint, was born June 7, 1932 in Wallingford, Iowa.  She began her education near Graettinger, then continued in Ringsted and Osgood.  Alice went on to do domestic work  for families in the area.

On March 28, 1954 Alice was united in marriage to Ernest Christensen at Bethany Lutheran Church in Emmetsburg.  They were blessed with three sons.  Alice and Ernest farmed southeast of Emmetsburg for ten years before moving to their farm northwest of Emmetsburg.  Alice has continued to live there until the time of her death.  She was active on the farm, milking cows and driving tractor.

Alice was a faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she was active in church circle.  Each year she helped with the Scandinavian Tea as well as funeral luncheons.  Alice enjoyed sewing, especially doing embroidery projects, raising a garden each year and going fishing.

Alice passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 89.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jens and Nettie Flint; her husband, Ernest in 1995; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Clarence Lentz, Annabelle and Leo Kinnetz, Dora and Eugene "Gene" Baedke and Clara and Martin Lentz; and a brother in infancy, Harvey Flint and brother, Dale Flint.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Christensen of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Dennis and Erma Christensen of Ruthven, Iowa and Harold Christensen and Deb Moran of Graettinger, Iowa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold Flint of Emmetsburg, Iowa and Donald and Josephine Flint of Ruthven, Iowa and Elaine Flint of Emmetsburg, Iowa; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, Jason Preston (Tracey) of Lake Park, Iowa; Angela Fisher (Tim) of Eagan, Minnesota and their children, Peyton and Reese; Andy Preston (Mandy) of Battle Creek, Iowa; Ryan Moran (Rebecca) of Spencer, Iowa and their children, Ashley and Isabel; Keith Moran (Andria) of Graettinger, Iowa and their children, Kate, Kelsey and Kiley; Lucas Moran (Jenny) of Estherville, Iowa and their children, Shelby, Taylor and Landon; Casey Moran (Devon) of Elk Run Heights, Iowa; nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
