Anthony Jarrett Beatty was born April 30, 1950, in  Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Ray and Marion Beatty. He graduated from Emmetsburg Catholic High School in 1968 and attended Iowa Lakes Community College. He was married to Marcia Beatty (Barry) on July 5, 1969, at Assumption Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Tony was a long-time volunteer firefighter, family farmer, worked for Brennan Construction Company, and was a thirty-one year employee of the Palo Alto County Secondary Roads. He retired in 2012.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Marion Beatty and older sister Judy Sibley. He is survived by his wife Marcia Beatty of Emmetsburg and children Anthony Scott Beatty and spouse Ana L. Peña of San Antonio, Texas, Ali Marie Beatty of Phoenix, Arizona, Aimee Elizabeth Beatty and partner Bradley Bryan, of Paige Texas, and Andrew William Beatty of Emmetsburg, Iowa, as well as grandchildren Beatriz Ray Beatty, Olivia Grace Beatty, and Sylvie Carolina Beatty, and his sisters Barbara Beatty, Beth Herke, Nancy Beatty, and Cassie Beatty.

Tony was proud of all of his children and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially visiting his grandchildren, hunting, gardening, and the occasional cold one.
