Following graduation, Brenda received her C.N.A. certification.  She worked for thirty one years as a C.N.A. at Emmetsburg Care Center, Lakeside Lutheran Home and Horizon's Unlimited.

Brenda was blessed with  four children, Malinda, Machelle, Rodney, Jr. and Jessy.  She loved being mom and caring for not only her family but others as well.

Brenda enjoyed playing Bingo and Euchre.  Her children have fond memories of their mom and her friends playing Poker at their home.  They also looked forward to all of the camping trips she took them on. Brenda loved horses and dogs and was active in Pony Express.  She loved to crochet and make beautiful items for her friends and family.  Brenda also collected all types of M&M items.

Brenda grew up attending St. Paul Lutheran Church in Emmetsburg.
