Brian L. Bland

Brian Lee Bland, son of Clarence and Beverly (Thompson) Bland, was born July 3, 1953 in Clarissa, Minnesota.

Brian enlisted in the United States Army where he helped serve his country. During his time in the military, he helped train and handle canines. Following his time in the service, Brian worked as a meat packer before he began his career in construction and worked until his retirement.

He was an outdoorsman and found joy in hunting, fishing, and pursuing Lake Superior agates. He loved his family and always enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren, and his dog, Missy.

Brian passed away April 5, 2024 in the VA Minneapolis Health Care System, at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beverly Bland and brother, Timothy Bland.

He is survived by Brenda Bland; his children, Nicky (Chad) Huckfelt of Spencer, Iowa, Jennifer (Keith) Cacek of Ruthven, Iowa, Brian (Jessica) Bland of Ruthven, Iowa, Mike (Tara) Bland of Spencer, Iowa, and Amber Fuller of Estherville, Iowa; 16 grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Olivia, Maya, Tyson, Treyton, Asia, Emma, Boone, Bo, Ensley, Hattie, Oakland, Alex, Jaylyn, Billy, Renee, Abby, and Devon; as well as many other relatives and friends.
