Cyndia Wycoff DeMoss, daughter of Howard and Joanne (Franklin) Wycoff, was born December 14, 1959, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She received her education in Lu Verne, Iowa, graduating from Lu Verne High School.

Following high school Cyndia was employed as a Denny's manager, giving her the opportunity to live in many areas. She continued this job for several years. After moving to Emmetsburg, Cyndia began working at Lakeside Lutheran Home where she has been the head cook for fourteen years.

On September 1, 2011, Cyndia was united in marriage to Rodney DeMoss in Cylinder, Iowa. She loved camping and having bonfires, going to the Chuck Wagon races and playing cards with her family and friends. Cyndia cherished every opportunity to play outdoor games with her grandchildren. She had a great love of animals, especially her three dogs, Speck, Lohay and Chili, which were just like her children. Cyndia was a member of Pony Express and the Chuck Wagon group.
