Dee stayed involved in horse riding by breaking horses for several years. She was an avid pool player and played in a pool league. She enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren and spending time with family. Dee also liked dirt track racing and NASCAR. She listened to the Daytona 500 this past Sunday.
In January, Dee became ill and on January 24th she underwent surgery for a brain tumor in Sioux Fall, South Dakota. She had just moved to Lakeside Lutheran Home a week ago.
