Eldon Louis Schneider, son of Alvin and Phyllis (Bottger) Schneider, was born July 1, 1952 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He received his education in the Emmetsburg school system.

On October 24, 1970, Eldon was united in marriage to Sandra Shaffer in Estherville, Iowa. They were blessed with three children.

Eldon became known to his family and friends as "Scobe". He was employed at Busse Manufacturing in Pocahontas as a welder for twenty two years. He then went to work at Skyjack in Emmetsburg where he was employed for nine years. Scobe then worked at Fisher Hydraulics in Laurens where he remained until health issues forced him to quit.

Scobe enjoyed bowling and camping with his family. In his younger years he loved going fishing, and looked forward to pheasant hunting with Roger and Jim. He loved grilling and cooking the meals at home. He enjoyed having a good time and was always ready for a party.

Eldon passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at his home in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Phyllis Schneider; sister and brothers, Gloria Schneider, Brian Schneider, William Schneider and David Schneider; and a grandchild, Rayne Schneider.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Emmetsburg, Iowa; his children, Wannette and Doug Trei of Hartley, Iowa, Tracy and Rick Swalve of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and Chris and Sherri Schneider of Emmetsburg, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Torey, Austin, Kristan, Justin, Jessica, Roger, Gina, Russel, and Ryan; seventeen great grandchildren; a brother, Bob and Vickie Schneider of Mallard, Iowa; a sister, Linda and Pat Flynn of Mallard, Iowa; nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
