Erma "Jean"  Heinrichs
April 16, 1927 - October 28, 2023

Erma Jean "Jean" (Jarnagan) Heinrichs, daughter of William Fred and Flossie (Shearer) Jarnagan was born April 16, 1927 in Ames, Iowa.  She spent her childhood years in Kearney, Nebraska graduating from high school in 1945.

Jean was united in marriage to Roman Paul Heinrichs on November 25, 1946 in Phillipston, Kansas.  Roman and Jean made their home in Kearney, Nebraska before moving to Sac City, Iowa, Carroll, Iowa then finally settling in Spencer, Iowa in the early 1950's, and eventually "snowbirding" in Mesa, AZ.  Jean enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, playing cards, collecting Santas and Angels, and cooking and baking - she was famous by her family for her Homemade Chicken and Noodles.

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, Jean passed away at the age of 96.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, and one son - Roman Dale.

Left to cherish Jean's memory are her children, Terry (Jacqueline) Heinrichs of Spencer; Dan (Susan Benson) Heinrichs of Denver, CO; and Cinda Heinrichs of Spencer; five grandchildren, Jeremiah (Dawn) Beams, Zachariah (Robin) Beams, Molly (Viet) Pham; Sarah (Cody) Wurm, and Karl (Emilee Gribben) Heinrichs; five great-grandchildren; as well as many other loved family, friends, and caregivers who helped her along her journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Jean's honor to Avera at Home, c/o Spencer Hospital.
