Garwin Lloyd Anderson, son of Lloyd and Lucille (Johnson) Anderson, was born September 29, 1954, in Estherville, Iowa. When he was a young boy, his family moved to a farm near Curlew, Iowa. He received his education in Ayrshire, graduating from Ayrshire High School in 1972.
Following high school, Garwin helped his father on the farm. He was always a hard worker. After his father passed away, Garwin took over the farming operation and helped care for his mother, which was something he did with great joy and passion.
Garwin also enjoyed going to dances and listening to music. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Garwin looked forward to attending the Iowa State Fair and going to Las Vegas where he stayed at the Bellagio.
He was a devoted and faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
Garwin passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at his home, at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lucille; his twin sister, Connie Yonker; aunts and uncles, William "Bill" and Donna Johnson and Norman and Lela Anderson; and cousin, Calvin Anderson.
