Helen Louise Enderson, daughter of Glen and Violet (Harris) Roland, was born September 16, 1944 in Ruthven, Iowa. She received her education in Ruthven and played on the girl's basketball team. Helen graduated from Ruthven High School in 1963.

On April 12, 1963, Helen married Alan Enderson at the United Methodist Church in Ruthven. To this union two children were born.

Helen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked side by side with Alan on their farm for many years, driving tractor, doing field work, hauling grain to the elevator and driving the grain cart.

She loved her flower garden and was a wonderful cook, known for her delicious cookies and candies that she made during the holidays.

Helen loved to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She rarely missed any of their events, attending baseball, basketball, soccer, football games, tennis matches, cross country and track meets, band concerts or dance and gymnastic recitals.

Helen always looked forward to going to Kansas City with all of her family to watch her beloved Royals play baseball.

Helen passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital in Spencer, Iowa, at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virginia Roland, Vivian Fread, Darlene Nissen and Mary Mingus; brothers, Donald Roland, Robert Roland, Charles Roland and Dean Roland; brothers-in-law, Wayne Nissen, Duane Cuklanz, Kenneth Fread and Duane Enderson; sisters-in-law, Reba Roland, Sharon Roland and Janet Henely.

She is survived by her husband, Alan of Spencer, Iowa; her children Bruce Enderson and wife, Tracy of Dickens, Iowa and Angela Dahm and husband, Michael of Denison, Iowa; grandchildren, Tyler and wife, Alyssa Enderson, Trevin Enderson and special friend, Hannah Groshens, Taylor Enderson, Grace Dahm, Logan Dahm and Harrison Dahm; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Cayleb and Sophia Enderson; sister, Betty Cuklanz of Terril, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Jean Roland, Nancy Roland and Carol Boltjes; brother-in-law, Richard Mingus; special uncle, Claire Enderson of Kansas City, Missouri; all of her coffee friends; as well as other relatives and many friends.
