Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Kibbie was born on January 23, 1960, in Emmetsburg, Iowa; the daughter of the late Alyce (Austin) Kibbie and Jack Kibbie. Jackie entered into eternal life on June 24, 2016, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jackie grew up on a family farm near Emmetsburg and Ayrshire, Iowa. She graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1978, Iowa Lakes Community College, Briar Cliff University, and the University of Iowa. She was a devoted Catholic at the Ayrshire, Emmetsburg, and Sheldon Parishes.

Jackie worked in Omaha, Council Bluffs, and Sheldon as a dedicated social worker. While in Sheldon, she was employed at Village Northwest for twenty years, and served as CEO for five of those years.

She loved to visit her family and truly enjoyed family vacations. Her faith, family, and friends were all very important and dear to her. She traveled often and enjoyed visiting many different areas such as her sister Margaret's various military bases. Jackie also loved to shop especially for clothes and shoes. As a true perfectionist, she organized and cleaned any areas that needed a little assistance. Jackie also enjoyed cooking and meal planning.

She was the epitome of unselfishness. She was one of the first to volunteer and was the "go to person" for community and church events. Jackie will be remembered for her selfless dedication to those in need and her ability to relate well to people from all walks of life. Anyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with Jackie was better for it as she made a lasting impression in her humble, caring way. This is evident as she kept close contact with many friends and family throughout the years.

Jackie treasured the time she spent with her family and long line of extended family friends. She cherished her precious nieces and nephews and specifically enjoyed attending their sports, dance and recital events. She treated each of them as he or she was one of her own. She will be greatly missed and she and her contagious smile will remain in our hearts forever.

Left to cherish her memory is her father, Jack Kibbie and his wife, Kay Kibbie of Emmetsburg; brothers, Patrick Kibbie (Deb) of Emmetsburg and Jim Kibbie (Kay) of Emmetsburg; sisters, Luanne Kustra (Greg) of Carroll, Iowa, Margaret Blais (Mark) of Panama City, Florida, Kori Huberty (Bill) of Emmetsburg, and foster sister, Theresa Pease (Martin) of St. Paul, Minnesota; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Alyce Coral Kibbie.
