Jade Michael Hotz, son of William Hotz Jr. and Tiffany Berger, was born September 21, 1996, in Sibley, Iowa. He received his education in Cherokee, Iowa and graduated from Washington High School in 2015.

Following high school, Jade worked various jobs, but he especially liked working as a laser operator for JTV Manufacturing in Sutherland, Iowa.

Jade loved playing video games and watching anime. He also enjoyed reading, spending time with his friends, and being outdoors. Above all, he cared deeply about his family and loved spending time with them. Jade was a caring person who would always be willing to help anyone.

Jade passed away in Minnesota, at the age of 26. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Craig; grandfather, Robert Berger; grandfather, William Hotz Sr.; great-grandmother, Beverly Beck, uncle, Brett Phipps; and cousin, Kayla Sterler.

He is survived by his parents, William and Tiffany; brothers, Jaxon Albright of New Ulm, Minnesota and Liam Hotz of Sheldon, Iowa; sisters, Mackenzie (John) Costilla of Spencer, Iowa, Felicity Hotz of Lemars, Iowa, and Jada Hotz of Cherokee, Iowa; nieces, Octavia and Anastasia Costilla; grandmother, Brenda Beck of Aurora, Colorado; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
