Jerome Scott Thomsen, son of Lawrence and Regina (Thiel) Thomsen, was born August 21, 1956 in Estherville, Iowa.  He received his education in Graettinger, graduating from high school in 1974.  Jerome went on to attend Creighton University as a Pre-Med student.

Jerome later began a career in modeling which he enjoyed.  When he was teased about being a model he would always say..."The joke is on you! This is much easier than being a Doctor."  After modeling for a period of time, Jerome moved to Hawaii where he began his twenty plus years in retail management. He worked as a sales rep for a large jewelry company.  Jerome loved working with people and always gave 100%.  He was charismatic and funny which made it easy for him to make friends wherever he went.

Jerome passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 65.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Regina Thomsen and a brother, Tom Thomsen.

He is survived by his children and one grandchild, Sheila (Alec) Tonemah of West Des Moines, Iowa, Jason (Jennifer) Thomsen and their daughter, Aiden Lenoir of North Carolina, and Blake (Faith) Thomsen of Boise, Idaho; two brother, Gary (Jane) Thomsen of Arizona and Loren Thomsen of Iowa; a sister, Cecilia (Pete) Olson of Minnesota; nephews, Luke and Myles; nieces Megan and Stephanie; as well as numerous cousins and their families.
