Kathy Ann Holmes, age 53, of Emmetsburg, Iowa was born on October 16, 1964 in Newton, Iowa.  Kathy attended school while living at Hope Haven in Rock Valley, Iowa.  Kathy came to live at Kathleen's Care on August 16, 1993.  She worked at Horizon's Unlimited for several years.

Kathy enjoyed music, playing games, eating out and spending time with friends and family.  Her sense of humor and warm laugh were a joy to hear.

Kathy died on September 27, 2018, surrounded by family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mildred Ebel; her special friend, Bill Conrad; and longtime friend and guardian, Gayle Schmeling.

She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her friend and guardian, Joan Cate; and all of her family and friends at Kathleen's.
