She attended countless competitions throughout her school years, traveling all over the United States and Canada as well as other countries, competing. Lacey received many medals and had the opportunity to participate in the Junior Olympics. During her school years, Lacey was also active in swimming, track and basketball and worked as a lifeguard at the city pool. Lacey graduated from Union Community High School in LaPorte City in 2003.
