INURNMENT
To be held at a later date.

Leo Leroy Farris, son of Homer and Maxine (Tubbs) Farris, was born March 4, 1945 in Texas. His family later moved to Emmetsburg where Leo received his education.

Following high school, Leo was employed at a grain elevator in Cedar Rapids and in Illinois. He later worked at the egg plant in Estherville. While living in Emmetsburg, Leo volunteered countless hours at Upper Des Moines.

Leo loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He liked doing pull tabs and playing Bingo at the Senior Center. Leo looked forward to listening to E'Hawk football games on Friday nights. He liked to bet $1.00 on the game and he couldn't wait to contact his family about the score.

Leo passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Maxine; brothers and sister, Bob Farris, Earl Edward Farris, Sandy Farris and Lyle Gene Farris.

He is survived by two brothers, Ronnie Farris of Emmetsburg, Iowa and Steve (Jeanette) Farris of Osgood, Iowa; three sisters, Bonnie (Bob) Schultz of Glidden, Iowa, Vicky (Ron) Duckert of Algona, Iowa and Mary (George) Frisbe of Corwith, Iowa; his nephew, Mike and Andrea and their children, Josh and Becca, who took such great care of him; other nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
