Mildred "Ann" Elder
June 7, 1945 - October 19, 2021

A private family service will be held.

Mildred "Ann" Elder, daughter of Fleming and Annie Mae (Hopkins) Childress, was born June 7, 1945 in Pulaski, Tennessee.  Mildred became known as Ann to her family and friends.  She later moved to Ruthven, where she began working at the Ruthven Community Care Center as a Certified Nurses Aid.  She remained working there  as a faithful employee for twenty years.

Ann moved to Spencer where she made her home.  She was diagnosed with cancer last year and entered the Ruthven Care Center in May where she passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the age of 76.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Timothy Elder; and a granddaughter, Megan Sanders.

Ann is survived by her children, Michael Pecor of Spencer, Theresa Sanders of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick Pecor of CA, Robert Elder of Cordes Lake, AZ, Keith Elder of Alton, IA, Rebecca Mortez of Marcus; Rochelle Elder of Spencer, IA and Carrie Gisch of Laurens; twenty four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
