Norma Jean Kuhn, daughter of Philip and Ellen (Peterson) Johnson, was born January 19, 1937 in Harcourt, Iowa.  She received her education in Harcourt and graduated from Harcourt High School.  Following high school Norma attended Tobin Business College in Fort Dodge.

On February 14, 1960 Norma was united in marriage to Donald Kuhn at the Methodist Church in Harcourt.  They were blessed with a daughter and a son.

Norma worked at various jobs after her marriage, some including the phone company,  financial company, and drug store. Norma sold Avon products for many years in the area.  Before retiring, Norma was employed for over 25 years, at Lakeside Lutheran Home as a cook.  She also did home healthcare for individuals in the area.

Norma was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Emmetsburg.  She enjoyed having coffee with her friends and family and playing cards.  Norma also liked watching college basketball.

Norma passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Mercy One North Iowa Hospice in Mason City, Iowa, at the age of 84.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Ellen Johnson; her husband, Donald Kuhn; and two brothers, Donald Johnson and Dean Johnson.

She is survived by her children, Deanna (Jim) Fales of Albert City, Iowa and Mark (Carmen) Kuhn of Riverview, Florida; four grandchildren, Jim (Nycole) Fales, Stephanie (Justin) Sigmon, Ashley (David) Maclin and Kyle Kuhn; three great grandchildren, Jesup Fales, Athena Fales and Penelope Maclin; her brother, Wayne Johnson of Harcourt, Iowa; her sisters, Karen (Roger) Chism of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Delores Anderson of Grimes, Iowa and Lorraine Heggen of Ames, Iowa; nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
