Patricia Ann Sikora, daughter of Charles and Bernadine (Wiwi) Gappa, was born October 17, 1932 on her family's farm, in Independence Township, Palo Alto County, Iowa.  She received her education in country school in Palo Alto County.

On January 9, 1951 Pat was united in marriage to Simon A. Sikora at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore, Iowa.  They were blessed with six children.  Simon and Pat raised their family on their farm near Ruthven where she was a devoted farmwife and homemaker.

Pat was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ruthven.  She was also a member of Ladies Guild.

Pat and Simon loved to go dancing and she made sure she taught her girls how to Polka, Foxtrot and Waltz.  She was very musical and played the accordion and guitar in her younger years.  Pat enjoyed riding horses and often rode standing on her horse, Danny's back.  She loved animals of all types, especially dogs and always had a dog around her, usually a lap dog.  Pat also liked gardening, both vegetable and flower gardens and watching the birds.  She had a large collection of angels and made beautiful afghans.  Each grandchild received one of Pat's afghans when they turned three years old.

Pat passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at her apartment at the Ruthven Community Assisted Living, at the age of 89.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bernadine Gappa; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Teresa Sikora; her husband, Simon Sikora; son, Simon Sikora; grandson, Shane Sikora; and son-in-law, Quint Dyer.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Sikora of Ruthven, Iowa, Diana Meyer (Allen) of Dickens, Iowa, Kevin Sikora (Rhonda) of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Ronald Sikora (Susan) of Ruthven, Iowa, Angela Sikora of Ruthven, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Beth Sikora of Ruthven, Iowa; and very special friend, Dianne Olson; thirteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
