Paul Wilmer Kooker, son of Harold and Rachael (McKinney) Kooker, was born June 22, 1921 in Ruthven, Iowa. He received his education in Terril.
On March 24, 1941 Paul was united in marriage to Dorothy Irene Christensen in West Bend, Iowa. They were blessed with four daughters and one son. Paul farmed for many years in the area and later worked at the lumber yard.

Paul also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, playing horse shoes and going fishing. He loved flowers and attending the Clay County Fair. After moving into PARC Hall he looked forward to going on drives around the countryside, checking the crops and farming operations. He also liked playing 500 and Aggravation with his friends at PARC Hall and listening to Molly B.
