Rae Jean Fread

On October 20, 2021, Rae Jean Fread, 93, passed away peacefully at Solaris Health Care Nursing Home where she resided for the past two years.

Rae Jean was the daughter of Raymond and Leila Lee of Emmetsburg, Iowa.  She entered marriage with Richard Fread, also from Emmetsburg, on August 15, 1947, a union of 66 years.  She spent 30 years supporting her husband to different duty stations with the US Navy as a homemaker then moved to Port Richey, FL in 1992 after retiring as a purchaser for Systems Develop Corp.

Rae Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard and brother, Robert and David.  She is survived by two children: Susan McClusky and Mark Fread, five grandchildren: Michelle, Lysa, Jeremy, Stephen, and David, four greatgrandchildren: Ainsley, Adalynn, Owen and Wyatt and close friend Shela.

Rae Jean enjoyed reading, watching Hallmark and Fox news.  In her earlier years enjoyed square dancing with her husband, Dick.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and belonged to the First United Methodist Church of Hudson Florida.

Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Emmetsburg, IA Saturday, November 13, 2021.
