Ramon Lara
February 10, 1964 - May 1, 2019

Ramon Lara, son of Ruben and Maria (Angelica) Lara, was born February 10, 1964 in San Juan, Texas.  Ramon received his education in Texas and following graduation, began working in various warehouse jobs in Texas.  He later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where he continued his employment in warehousing.

In 1981, Ramon was united in marriage to Dora Vallejo in Pharr, Texas.  They were blessed with four children.

Ramon and Dora moved to Emmetsburg to be near their children and grandchildren.  Ramon loved every moment he was able to spend with each of them.

Ramon passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa, at the age of 55.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Lara and a brother, Ruben Lara, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Lara of Emmetsburg, Iowa; his children, Jesus Rey Lara of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Ezequiel Lara of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Gabriel Lara of Emmetsburg, Iowa and Lori Ann Lara of Emmetsburg, Iowa; nine grandchildren; his mother, Maria Lara of Texas; a brother, Raul Lara of McAllen, Texas; as well as other relatives and friends.
