Due to the regulations set by the Governor's Public Health Disaster Declaration, no public visitation or service will be held at this time.

Thomas John Brink, son of Frank and Elaine (Gengler) Brink, was born April 22, 1947 in Whittemore, Iowa. He received his education at St. John's School in Bancroft. Tom served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He was inducted on November 20, 1968 and was honorably discharged on June 12, 1970.

On February 16, 1973 Tom was united in marriage to Susan Rentz at St. John's Church in Bancroft. They were blessed with four daughters.

Tom was employed for several years at Stateline Coop.   He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Fairville, American Legion and the N.R.A.

Barney, as he was known to his friends and family, was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved every aspect of being outdoors and taught all four of his daughters how to hunt and fish. Barney took great pride in his gardening and gave away lots of produce throughout the years. He also loved his chickens and the colored eggs they produced. Most of all, Barney loved his family.

Tom passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elaine Brink and a brother, Bill Brink.

He is survived by his wife, Susan of Fenton, Iowa; his daughters, Amanda Hull (Josh) of Altoona, Iowa, Sara Angus (Zac) of Des Moines, Iowa, Katie Sires (Clint) of Milford, Iowa and Andrea Sebert (Rory) of Butler, Indiana; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mary Kunkel of Shakopee, Minnesota; as well as many other relatives and friends.
