Tyler Lovel Sturgill, son of Edward Sturgill and Cheri (Toland) Skinner, was born March 9, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  After his family moved to northwest Iowa, Tyler attended South Clay, Spencer, and Ruthven-Ayrshire High School.

As a young boy, Tyler had a great interest in mechanics and always seemed to have a wrench in his hand.  He loved riding motorcycles and working on them.  He also enjoyed archery and various shooting sports.  Tyler was an avid reader and he was very artistic, designing many tattoos for himself and others.

He was employed as an iron worker building many refinery plants throughout the United States.  Some of the locations included South Dakota, Missouri, Texas, Ohio, Kansas and Iowa.  Most recently, Tyler was helping an area farmer.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lovel and Joan Sturgill of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, a paternal aunt and a paternal uncle.

Tyler passed away,  Thursday, September 22, 2022 in Webb, Iowa, at the age of 28.  He is survived by his parents, Edward (Ranae) Sturgill of Dickens, Iowa and Cheri (Jackie) Skinner of Ruthven, Iowa; his brother, Connor (Daisy) Sturgill of Terril, Iowa; step brother, Dylan Sturgill of Sanborn, Iowa; grandparents, Jim and Donna Toland of Ruthven, Iowa; a niece, Olivea; aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as many other relatives and friends.
