Traditional Funeral Service Followed by Cremation
At the time of death, the individual is embalmed and prepared for a public viewing in a rental casket appropriate for cremation. The body is present at the funeral service, which can be held either at the funeral home or a church. Following the funeral service the body will be taken to the crematory and the cremains will be returned to the family after the process is completed. Burial can follow at a later date.
Cremation with a Visitation and Memorial Service
At the time of death the individual is embalmed and prepared for a public viewing in a rental casket appropriate for cremation. Following the visitation the body is taken to the crematory, and the cremains are returned for the memorial service the next day. The cremains may or may not be present at the memorial service. That is the choice of the family. Burial can follow the service if desired.
Direct Cremation with a Visitation and Memorial Service
The individual is taken directly from the place of death to the crematory. A visitation is held at the funeral home with a memorial service the following day, either at the funeral home or church. The cremains may or may not be present at the visitation and service. That is the choice of the family. Burial can follow the service if desired.
